Al-Zahraa University for Women has completed a comprehensive upgrade of its surveillance camera system across its academic buildings and surrounding facilities. Additionally, the said event comes as part and parcel of its ongoing commitment to strengthening campus security.

Mr Ali Khudhair Al-'Amiri, Head of the Follow-up Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, stated that the project was the result of a collaborative effort by the University’s technical staff. The initiative involved the installation of a number of high-definition surveillance cameras alongside the modernisation of the existing system to ensure optimum operational efficiency and enhanced security coverage.

Al-'Amiri explained that the University currently operates more than 325 surveillance cameras, providing continuous 24-hour monitoring of the campus buildings, corridors, and perimeter walls. The system is managed through a dedicated control room, contributing to a secure environment for female students while also supporting monitoring within lecture halls and during examination periods.

Meanwhile, the esteemed Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Al-Asadi, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technologies, reviewed the progress of the final examinations through the surveillance system. They were briefed on its operational mechanisms and commended the efforts of the monitoring staff, praising the smooth administration of the examinations and the students’ discipline and adherence to examination regulations.
