Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiya, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a training course entitled “Sewing, Embroidery, and Crochet Training.”

The course was delivered by Dr. Nasreen Ali Al-Jilawi and ran for five days at Al-Kawthar Hall for Continuing Education, targeting members of the wider community.

The program included practical training in the fundamentals of sewing, embroidery, and crochet, as well as an introduction to the tools, materials, and techniques used to produce a variety of handmade items.

The course aimed to develop participants’ practical and creative skills, encourage the acquisition of useful handicraft skills that may support small-scale projects, and promote a culture of continuous learning and community engagement.

The activity comes as part of the College of Education’s ongoing efforts to organize training programs that enhance practical skills and strengthen the university’s connection with the wider community.
