As part of the continuous scientific efforts of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women to support academic research and promote high-quality international publication, the faculty member, Assistant Lecturer Hala Younis Zeini, has published a scientific research paper entitled:

Mucinous Ovarian Cancer: Current Trends in Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, Diagnostic Methods and Therapeutic Approaches

The paper was published in the Research Journal of Pharmacy and Technology, a journal indexed in Scopus.

The study sheds light on the latest scientific developments related to mucinous ovarian cancer, one of the rare and distinct subtypes of epithelial ovarian cancers, with a focus on epidemiological aspects, pathogenic mechanisms, modern diagnostic methods, and advanced therapeutic approaches.

The research also reviewed recent developments in molecular analysis and the genetic mutations associated with the disease, such as KRAS and TP53 mutations, and their role in improving diagnostic accuracy and opening new horizons for targeted and immunological therapies.

Furthermore, the study emphasized the importance of modern diagnostic technologies and biomarkers in early detection and better classification of pathological cases, while also highlighting future therapeutic directions and ongoing clinical trials aimed at improving treatment outcomes for patients.

This scientific achievement reflects the College’s and its faculty members’ commitment to strengthening the path of scientific research and publishing in reputable international journals.
