The Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Division organised an educational seminar entitled “Environmental Awareness and Energy Sustainability in Architecture.” The said event was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, the University President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghida’ Al-Mulla, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. 

The seminar was led by Asst. Lect. Mayson Safi Yasser, addressed the role of alternative energy sources in achieving environmentally friendly architecture.

The lecturer emphasised the necessity of integrating sustainability principles into future engineering projects, thereby contributing to environmental protection and the advancement of the architectural sector at the local level. She further recommended enhancing community awareness regarding energy conservation and the adoption of environmentally sustainable alternatives.

This seminar forms part of a series of educational activities that the University is committed to organising, in order to strengthen its role in serving society and promoting environmental awareness within academic circles.
