Prof. Dr. Ali J'afar Al-Husseini, Head of the Scientific Affairs Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, participated as a member of the examining committee for a Master’s thesis in Electrical Engineering at the Electrical Engineering Technical Faculty, University of Baghdad. Furthermore, the said event comes as part and parcel of its efforts to strengthen scientific activities and support the academic community.

The thesis, presented by Nadia 'Imad Al-Jumaili, was entitled “Dynamic Simulation of an Electric Vehicle Charging Station Powered by Renewable Energy within Smart Grids for Model Residential Complexes.” The research focused on examining the challenges arising from the increasing adoption of electric vehicles and the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources, as well as the resulting challenges to the continuity of electricity supply.

The examining committee comprised a distinguished group of specialised academics from Iraqi universities, who provided a rigorous scientific assessment of the thesis and highlighted the significance of the research in addressing the challenges associated with the growing adoption of electric vehicles and achieving optimal utilisation of renewable energy.

The defence concluded with words of appreciation and recognition for the student and the examining committee for their distinguished efforts, affirming the University’s commitment to supporting innovative scientific research and contributing to the development of advanced technological solutions that serve both the academic and industrial communities.
