Under the theme “Birth of Mercy and Beginning of Light”, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women celebrated the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his Household), in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Department. Additionally, the said event was held under the generous auspices of the General Secretariat of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President.

The annual festival was held at this blessed site, which bears the name of Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), where the blessings associated with Umm Abiha “Mother of Her Father” are reflected. The University commemorated the blessed and fragrant anniversary of the birth of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), whose light illuminated the earth and whose mercy and guidance filled hearts.

In her address, Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani emphasised that the celebration highlights the personality of the Prophet, who embodied the highest ideals of humanity and noble character. She called for drawing inspiration from his exemplary life as a guiding model that contributes to building individuals and society and promoting noble values and principles in academic and social life.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, stressed the importance of the occasion in promoting ethical values and fostering a spirit of knowledge and education. She affirmed that the birth of the Prophet represents a continuation of the message of mercy that serves humanity as a whole.

The festival also featured a variety of poetry performances, alongside the recognition of the top-performing female students in the Faculty of Pharmacy in appreciation of their academic excellence and distinguished efforts. Besides, certificates of appreciation were presented to them, affirming the value of academic achievement and the importance of continuing to contribute and excel.

The festival concluded with words of thanks and appreciation to all participants and organisers for their distinguished efforts, affirming the University’s commitment to continuing to organise such events that reflect human and ethical values while strengthening cultural and religious identity within society.
