As part and parcel of the activities of the “Arb'een Forum”, a scientific meeting was held bringing together a number of academics from Iraqi universities, including ZUW, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, University of Babylon, University of Baghdad, and University of Maysan, as well as academics from Iranian universities, including the University of Tehran and Al-Zahraa University for Women in Tehran. The meeting also brought together a number of university academics from Kent State University in the United States.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for strengthening cooperation among participating university academics, including the exchange of expertise through research centres by conducting joint research, holding seminars and workshops, and organising reciprocal academic visits. It also addressed the establishment of specialised training courses in the fields of administration, organisation, and human resources, with the aim of enhancing academic and research performance.

The discussion also focused on employing artificial intelligence technologies, establishing interactive electronic platforms, and developing modern programmes that serve the academic environment. These efforts seek to address contemporary challenges and the “soft war”, while contributing to the advancement of scientific, cognitive, and intellectual development in Iraqi and Iranian universities.

The participants further stressed the importance of preserving the Arabic and Islamic languages and cultures, and of promoting the intellectual heritage and legacy of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) across all scientific disciplines. They also highlighted the importance of making the utmost scientific and intellectual use of the Arb'een pilgrimage, harnessing scientific expertise and capabilities to serve society, and advancing the principles embodied in the message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The meeting concluded with the participants affirming the importance of continuing to strengthen joint cooperation, exchange expertise, and harness scientific capabilities in the service of society, thereby reinforcing the distinguished role of universities in advancing knowledge and scientific research at both local and international levels.
